It came to our attention that, as a result of load-shedding, the MTR site was not operational during the time that SACAP's offices were closed.
We are therefore extending the deadline for submission of the November and December 2019 MTRs to the 17 February 2020.

SACAP regretfully advises that the MTR online system is still not functioning. Solving this problem is taking longer than anticipated, and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Extension will be given for the submission of the MTRs for the months that the system has not been operational. This extension period will be determined once the problems have been solved.
The question of applications for the PPE, to be written in October 2018 will also be addressed soon.

The policy on practical training states that one value unit is equal to one full working day of relevant experience.
This implies that the value units are calculated as follows:
8 hours = 1 value unit
4 hours = 0.5 value units
2 hours = 0.25 value units
1 hours = 0.125 value units
30 min = 0.063 value units
We trust that this will assist in correctly calculating the units to be claimed.

PLEASE NOTE: This problem has been solved and your are once again able to download and print the summary of your MTR submissions.
SACAP is aware of the problems with the generating and printing of the MTR Summary from the system. This has been reported to our service provider and will be fixed shortly.
If you are submitting applications for the PPE, feel free to do so without the summary, until the glitch is fixed.
REMEMBER: The closing date for PPE applications is 12 February 2018.

When capturing the units that you claim you have to use a
FULL STOP and not a COMMA.
THIS MEANS THAT if you claim
One and a Half credits
It must be captured as 1.5
Should you use a COMMA and capture the credits as 1,5 the system will not add these units to your records.
